The climate of Minnesota varies to some extent with the latitude. The summers are moderate in temperature, averaging 72 degrees, with occasional periods of very hot days of 95 to 100 degrees in midsummer. The autumns are mild and pleasant, and the springs are short, from the transition of winter to summer.

The atmosphere is dry and clear, and the extremes of temperature are therefore not noticed as much as in regions of less variation but of greater humidity. The rainfall for the entire state is about twenty-four inches. It is heaviest in the eastern half and lightest along the western border. Minnesota offers such a divers land area that will offer much to the hunter.
