Utah is bounded by Idaho and Wyoming on the north, Colorado on the east, Arizona on the south, and Nevada on the west. Nearly half the state, including the southern and eastern parts, is a great upland, carved into valleys and canyons. The state has almost 85,000 square miles of land, which is plenty for most hunting guides and outfitters.

The most well know parts of the state would be the Colorado Plateau or the Red Desert region. Because of its red sandstone mesas, or flat-topped hills. Strange sandstone formations in the southeast have been set-aside as the Arches, Capitol Reef, and Natural Bridge National Monument. The Wasatch Mountains, a part of the Rocky Mountain system, form the “backbone” of Utah. The state offers much to a hunter and should be taken advantage of on your next trip.

Each guide and outfitter can give you additional information about specific small game and big game animals hunting in their area, along with what the weather is for their part of the state.
