Ohio, the “Buckeye State” is derived from “Ohezu”, the Indian word for Great. The climate is generally healthful, though sudden changes in temperatures are frequent and extreme, because of the frequent varying winds. Rolling hills in the north and south with more flat land in the center. The state has over 41,000 square miles of land with many woodland areas.
