New Hampshire touches the Canadian province of Quebec on the north. The entire Vermont-New Hampshire boundary on the west is formed by the Connecticut River. Massachusetts bounds it on the south; and Maine extends the length of its eastern border, except for a stretch of eighteen miles at the extreme south, where it is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean. The White Mountains, occupying the north central part cover an area of about 1,400 square miles of the states land.

The climate of New Hampshire has a typical New England climate. The winters are severe, and in the northern half snow usually fall to a great depth. The summers are mild and pleasant. The mean annual temperature at Concord is 48 degrees. The annual precipitation is forty-five inches. The state offers much to a hunter and should be taken advantage of on your next trip.
